Essay Writing

Hey there!

As I told you today, you will be writing your second essays tomorrow. You will be given two topics to choose from. In case you might want to have a look at them in advance, here they are. (And yes, this is my new strategy to make you check out our class blog more frequently and maybe even drop a comment or two! Do you think you can do that you "non-followers" and "non-commenters"?!)

Topic I: Discuss the causes and effects of home schooling (parents teaching at home).

Topic II: Discuss the causes and effects of having only one child.

The causes and effects of each topic will be provided. Yet, if you want to come prepared, here are a few videos which I think might give you an idea about the first topic, home schooling.

Don't forget to bring a good-size (you know what I mean :), non-electronic dictionary. I'll see you tomorrow. Don't be late!

All You Need is LOVE!

So it is that time of year again when those who are in a relationship constantly think about ways in which they can show how they feel to their loved one and those who are single curse the day and wish it were soon over. Yes, I'm talking about Valentine's Day! How do you feel about it? Do you think it is a romantic opportunity to tell your sweetheart how much you love him/her or is it just commercial nonsense? Here are my Valentine's Day discussion questions:

1) What is your idea of the perfect Valentine's Day? Where would you like to be and how would you like to spend it?
2) What do you think is the best Valentine's Day gift to give and to receive?
3) What is your favourite love song of all time?
4) What is your favourite romantic film of all time?

I am waiting for your answers and comments. Click on the video below and listen to this beautiful classic love song by the Beatles. Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day! Enjoy!

Hello everyone! Remember, in our very first class on Monday I told you we would be doing some blog writing this term. Sooo here it is: Our class blog! I will be posting and sharing a variety of things with you throughout the semester and am expecting you to follow me, write comments and be a part of it. I hope you enjoy this just like I will.

You now know that I love playing games. Below is the link to an online game I play now and then:
The game is quite basic but not that easy! My score, as you can see below, is 82 apples.

Let's see how well you can do and if you can beat me! Go ahead and give it a try!
