Sing Along with Pulp

Here is the video of a song by one of my favourite bands, Pulp. The song is called Something Changed. Watch the video and listen to the lyrics carefully, and fill in the blanks in the exercise below. This will give you an opportunity to revise your knowledge of perfect modals. What do you think the song is about? What could be the story behind it? Do you like the song? I'm waiting for your answers and comments. Hope you enjoy it.

I _______ (1) this song two hours before we _______ (2).
I _______ (3) your name or what you _______ (4) yet.
I _______ (5) at home and _______ (6) to bed.
I _______ (7) a film instead.
You _______ (8) and _______ (9) your friend.
Life _______ (10) very different but then something changed.
_______ (11) that there's someone up above?
And does he have a timetable directing acts of love?
Why _______ (12) this song on that one day?
Why _______(13) my hand and softly say,
"_______ (14) asking questions that don't matter anyway. Just give us a kiss to celebrate here today. Something changed."
When we _______ (15) that morning, we _______ (16) no way of knowing that in a matter of hours we _______ (17) change the way we were going.
Where _______ (18) I be now if we _______ (19) never _______ (20)?
_______ (21) I be _______(22) this song to someone else instead?
I don't know but like you just said, something changed.
